YOGA ON YORK, established in 2002, specializes in safe, effective, fun classes for all ages and levels, from beginner to experienced student. We feature alignment-based Vinyasa Flow yoga classes, fitness classes and meditation for everyone. You do not need to be flexible or fit or anything other than exactly what you are right now to start taking classes at YOGA ON YORK.
Our instructors are all highly trained at the 200 or 500 hour level and attend regular continuing education. You will be instructed in healthy body alignment, encouraged to listen to your body and assisted in modifying postures as needed to make then safe for you. Instructors clearly guide you through creative, intelligently sequenced classes to enhance health, well-being and self-awareness.
Our Vinyasa Flow style yoga classes are informed by the traditional Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar and Bishnu Gosh yoga lineages in addition to our continual study of anatomy and the western health sciences. Vinyasa means breath connected to movement.
